Makeshift garden

We got the idea to start a garden on our balcony. On Friday, one of our friends gave us two tomato plants that he grew from seeds, and then we took a trip to Home Depot and scored on a pot of Italian herbs: Rosemary, Parsley, and Basil. When we brought them home JM proceeded to play the Simon and Garfunkel song at least three times: "Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme." I wanted to cut some Basil to use for dinner, but John Mark would not let me yet. I might have to sneak some when he is not looking. :) Hopefully the plants get the full 6 hours of direct sunlight that they require. Here is a picture of them being showered in the sun...
